Solar Car Park Lighting in Leutkirch

The company elobau GmbH & Co KG in Leutkirch Germany, is illuminating its newly constructed car park with the TOWERSUN 128 solar lights from EPS soltec.

Architectural firm Baron Landschaftsarchitektur from Ulm, Germany, is responsible for planning the exterior facilities. EPS soltec is the company responsible for performing the work, which means that it also completed the planning for the lighting.

The Project

In 2009, with the “elobau goes green” initiative, the company’s management settled on a consistent continuation and strengthening of the elobau environmental policy. The goal was to achieve a complete offsetting of the company’s carbon footprint by the year 2010.

With the new planning of the car park, elobau is strictly following this strategy; the next logical step was fitting lighting using solar lights.

With the conversion of the Plant 1 car park and the new construction of the Plant 2 car park (above image) a full changeover to solar lighting using the ‘Towersun 128′ (special design with double cantilever arm) was completed. Once the construction work is complete, 27 Towersun will go into use at the company elobau. These will round off the company’s energy concept.
