Cooperation between EPS soltec and HELLA

In the future, this will see the HELLA light modules being installed in the EPS soltec solar lights as well as in the line-commutated LED lighting heads at the Hörbranz factory. “This will create new jobs and a welcome boost to the economy in the entire region”, explains EPS soltec Director, Richard Hutter, who went independent over ten years ago in the area of renewable energy with the focus on photovoltaics.

A showpiece project for the recent cooperation is the district of Schnepfau in the Bregenzerwald, where just recently, 59 innovative LED street lights from the Eco-Streetline range by HELLA, as well as three TOMERSUN solar lights from EPS soltec were delivered and entered operation. All of the old fashioned lights that operated with mercury vapour lights were replaced by LED lighting along the streets and paths in Schnepfau, while those in the more exposed areas (Schnepfegg) and without a mains power source were replaced by solar lights. The cheap-rate LED technology, combined with high efficiency and low energy and maintenance costs, means an energy saving of up to 80 percent can be expected in comparison with conventional lighting systems.
