The company KRINNER Schraubfundamente GmbH Germany, constructs TOWERSUNs in Lower Bavaria

Mayor of the district of Mitterfels / Ascha in Lower Bavaria, Mr. Zirngibl, decided on the supply of renewable energy in his commune several years ago. The result of this forward-looking energy and environmental strategy has been several environmental prizes, state prizes and awards.

During the upgrading work in Ascha, the locality was faced with the decision of laying supply lines in the same way as before and operating street lighting in the conventional way, or of using the free energy of the sun. The whole of the district council decided on the environmentally-friendly solution of solar powered street lighting. Taking care to take the views of the townsfolk and local residents into account, the council opted for the StreetSun street lighting from EPS soltec. As a flagship and a positive example to other districts, the mayor confirms the decision he made at that time as being the right approach for local street lighting.

During the upgrading work on the former B20 federal highway as a new through road in the district of Gschwend, the first part of the work saw the previous standard street lighting equipped with 8 further units of the solar powered high power TowerSun lamps. The second phase of the construction work is planned for the summer of this year.
